Rarely in life do we truly encounter people who have earned the title Master when it comes to any discipline, and I can confidently refer Tanja as a Master in STOTT Pilates and Fascial Movement.
She has an incredibly keen eye for the smallest nuances of movement and she effortlessly translates both, her intuitive sense of movement and sharp observation into feedback that is real time, easy to implement, and is part of a larger progression of movement that she always has in mind.
She weaves her background in Dance and non-western tradition in ways that help inform her practice and. enrich the learning each session but do not become a central focus of time together.
I have seen terrific gains in mobility, posture, and functional strength. We’ve been working on neck and shoulder pain due to work related chronic poor thoracic posture, foot and ankle discomfort and threatening nerve impingement due to weakness, and posterior pelvic tilt due to overall tension patterns and underdeveloped core.
I have gained comfort in everyday movement that I had only dared to hope for when starting with Pilates. It’s been a year and a half with Tanja and I confidently can say the work we have done has been a high yielding investment in my future health and wellness!

TESTIMONIALS

Tanja is a miracle worker! I so appreciate her skills and thoughtfulness in working one-on-one. There’s always variety and a new approach to an old problem. If only I went home and did all she suggested I’d be running marathons. Seriously, I had an spinal epidural 7 months ago due to chronic unexplained pelvic and lower back pain and don’t intend to repeat for a very long time with Tanja on my stay healthy team! I highly recommend her!

Tanja has helped me with lower back pain, postural issues due to scoliosis and general body awareness. Tanja is quick to spot where I need work, and she adjusts exercises and moves constantly.
I have taken Pilates for years and have never had the results I’ve had while working with Tanja. I am standing straighter and taller and feeling better!

Tanja knows that these exercises have a certain learning curve and she is with you from beginning to end … while I have been working on chronic pelvic floor and lower back tension and pain she stayed with me, refreshing my memory every time I come to class, spotting problem areas and addressing them always with positive reinforcement. I thank her not only for her professionalism but more than that … for her love of teaching.

I love to facilitate somatic experiences in order to nourish a deep physical connection and the ownership of one’s own dynamic alignment. I have been focusing my studies on three interest points: increasing the resting length of muscles to facilitate pain free joints, develop strength from the inside out, taking care of skeletal muscles as much as of power muscles and cultivating movement habits with the support of the fascial system.
I am invested in teaching ways of moving that create an organic agility and joy in movement - in every day life or within the context of your athletic goals.
I love to support people with unexplained and chronic pain as well as people with their recoveries from injuries or to prevent, manage and improve physical challenges due to pain patterns in the lower back, neck and shoulder girdle, nerve impingements, as well as scoliosis, arthritis and migraines.
